Below you'll find answers to some of the questions homeowners regularly ask, along with practical advice to help you better understand your options.
About Maple Services
Every garden presents its own challenges. Some simply need a few improvements, while others require more extensive work to solve long-standing problems. Before any work begins, it's important to understand what you're hoping to achieve and what will provide the best long-term result. These are some of the questions we're often asked before a project gets underway.
How do you decide what's right for my garden?
The first step is looking at what's already there. Some gardens only need a few improvements, while others have poor drainage, uneven levels or old fencing that's affecting the whole space. Once those issues have been identified, it's much easier to recommend the work that will make the biggest difference.
Can different types of work be carried out during the same project?
Yes. It's quite common to replace fencing before landscaping a garden or carry out tree work before installing new lawns or planting. Planning related work together usually creates a better overall finish and avoids having to disturb completed areas later.
Do I need to clear the garden before work starts?
Generally, only personal belongings, garden furniture and anything that could restrict access need moving. Larger features and existing landscaping are assessed as part of the project, so there's usually no need to start clearing the garden yourself beforehand.
What if I'm not sure exactly what I want?
That's perfectly normal. Many customers know there's a problem with their garden but aren't certain how best to improve it. Looking at the space, discussing how you'd like to use it and identifying what's causing any issues usually helps shape the right solution.
